Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Intellisense® Lithium AED Battery (XBTAED001A)
The Powerheart G5 is one of the most capable AEDs on the market — but only when its battery is in date and genuine. The XBTAED001A Intellisense® Lithium Battery is the genuine replacement for the G5, engineered to the same medical-grade standard as the battery your unit shipped with. Don’t risk a third-party alternative in a device this important.

Use only genuine Cardiac Science batteries
Third-party batteries may not trigger the G5’s self-test cycle correctly, may not deliver the required energy for defibrillation, and may void your device warranty. The XBTAED001A is the only battery Defibshop recommends for the Powerheart G5.

Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 battery — quick answers
Which defibrillator does this battery fit?
The XBTAED001A Intellisense battery fits the Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 only (semi-automatic and fully automatic). It must not be used in any other AED.
How long does it last?
A 4-year standby life once installed, and a 5-year shelf life from manufacture if stored unused. Replace it before the 4-year standby period ends.
How many shocks can it deliver?
Up to 500 shocks at 150V on a full battery — and at least 9 more even after the AED signals a low battery.
How do I know when to replace it?
The G5’s Rescue Ready indicator turns red and the unit beeps. Note the battery shows a “manufactured on” date, not an expiry — so record the date you install it and replace within 4 years.
How do I change it?
A simple clip-out, clip-in: open the compartment, remove the old battery, press the new one in until it clicks, and check the Rescue Ready indicator glows green.
Can I use a cheaper third-party battery?
No — only a genuine Intellisense battery triggers the G5’s daily self-test correctly and guarantees the energy needed in an emergency, and a non-genuine battery voids your Cardiac Science warranty.
