AED Complete Maintenance & Servicing Program
An AED that fails in an emergency is worse than no AED at all. It creates false confidence. Regular professional servicing ensures your device is genuinely rescue-ready — not just showing a green light.
While a quick visual check should be part of your routine, a thorough professional service is recommended annually. Our team includes registered, practising Intensive Care Paramedics who use defibrillators in real emergencies — they know exactly what to look for. From a WH&S and organisational liability perspective, professional servicing also minimises the risk that your AED won’t perform when it’s needed most.

Why Professional Servicing Matters — What We’ve Actually Found
This is not a theoretical risk. Our team has found the following during real-world AED inspections across Australia:
Pads expired 3–4 years ago
Expired pads may not adhere correctly or deliver an effective shock. We’ve found units years past their replacement date.
Batteries equally expired
A flat or degraded battery means the AED cannot charge. We’ve found batteries as far out of date as the pads.
Paediatric pads only — no adult pads
Paediatric pads cannot be used on an adult patient. Adult pads can be used on a child if no paediatric pads are available — but not the reverse.
Non-branded batteries installed
Generic batteries may not provide the energy output required for the AED to deliver a shock. Only manufacturer-approved batteries should be used.
Pads wrapped in kitchen plastic wrap
Accidentally opened pads had been resealed in glad wrap. Once the original packaging is opened, pads begin to dry out and will not work on a patient.
These are not edge cases — they are routine findings. An AED with any of these issues will not save a life. Professional annual servicing is the only way to be certain your device is ready.
